crushed orange - the color of false promises; of incipient solace; of
    loneliness

ledbetter yellow - the color of passing through yet leaving something
    behind; of the fragmenting of self

cabrini green - the color of misery; the misery of having, yet still
    wanting; the misery of insecurity; the misery of ignorance

moon blue - the color of opportunities rare and misspent; of bad luck;
    of blind hope

girl indigo - the color of dying love; of brooding; of failure to
    communicate

heart violet - the color of never-healed wounds, reopened, salted, and
    rubbed; of violence and hatred


below the red,
beyond the violet,
lies the happiness
